Summary: The far-reaching changes in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe have had a great impact on the economy, society and culture of the post-Soviet space and the Central and Eastern European countries. The demographic crises have had many negative effects on the two countries, including severe restraint on normal development and big threats to national security. Getting rid of the demographic crises as early as possible has become a top priority for the economic and social development of Bulgaria and Russia. Considering all the above mentioned, dealing with the demographic-related problems is going to be a long-term task for Bulgaria and Russia.
