Summary: The publication systematizes and studies Bulgarian diplomatic documents from the late 1960s and early 1970s. The documents examine the Palestinian military-political organizations in Lebanon and the influence of their activities on the political situation in the country and on Lebanese-Israeli relations. The change in the Bulgarian concepts about the issues mentioned is analysed. Taking into account the framework of the Soviet Bloc approach, an attempt is made to assess how adequate these Bulgarian concepts were. The study is based on archival documents deriving from the Bulgarian embassies in Beirut, Damascus, Cairo and Amman and more general diplomatic documents of the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry.
