Summary: The current article focuses on Dimitar Stefanov’s revolutionary activity in the period 1901‒1907, when he twice held the position of the foreign representative of the Internal Macedonian-Adrianople Revolutionary Organization. His participation in the Ilinden-Preobrazhenie Uprising of 1903 is also briefly presented. On the basis of the extant documentation of the Macedonian-Adrianople Organization’s societies in the Principality of Bulgaria, letters from prominent revolutionaries to Stefanov, the memoirs of his contemporaries, and historical research devoted to the subject, an attempt is made to assess his role and contribution to the revolutionary work in Macedonia and Adrianople.
